        Terminal is in the Openstore. You should be able to install it from there.

            Ah. I think I should have read your post more carefully. I think you might be on the Canonical version of UT. You probably need to install UBports latest version of UT. https://ubports.com/page/get-ubuntu-touch
            When you do that the Openstore app is installed. Then you can install terminal. Hope that works for you.

              @brispete

              Thanks for the reply.
              As I mentioned earlier Under OS build details I have >>>>> 15.04 krilling ( this is the UBports version, no?)(The last canonical version was 15.04 Vivid Vervet)

              However regardless of which version please note that I can not run any command line without terminal, hence the title catch 22

              I hope you have more ideas, thanks for the help

                krillin is the codename for your bq E4.5 phone. The UBports version isan also based on 15.04 Vivid Vervet. In System Settings click <About> and check which OS you have. UBports latest version is Ubuntu 15.04 (r3). (Canonical version will be (OTA 12 or later).

                        @brispete

                        I tried to use the "Install using MDT", i run the script.. and after that I still have the same version (15.04(r509))...it seems that it has done a factory reset of some sort.

                        I have copied the terminal output, if you are interested (it will be greatly apreciated):

                        Checking for newer version

                        If you see this screen for longer than 10 seconds,
                        please delete the magic-device-tool folder and clone the project again.

                          MDT are ending support for UBports. This might be the problem. Try using the UBports Installer. It requires you to install a snap so you need snapd (IIRC) on your PC. I've also found that you may need to tell it which device you wish to install (manually select device).

                            Hey Man... many thanks I had good luck

                            I tried the installers from this page:
                            https://github.com/ubports/ubports-installer/releases

                            I tried the windows exe on a windows 10 machine but it did not detect the fastboot, so it kept waiting

                            I tested the deb file:
                            On a 16 LTS machine... the developer mode worked well , but then got frozen on fastboot
                            On a 14.04 installation, I never got the accept message on the phone (developer mode)....however I placed the phone on fast boot manually and then all worked nicely

                            So now the UBport is up and running on the phone šŸ™‚
