        Hello everyone!

The expected release date for Ubuntu Touch OTA-23 is Tuesday, June 28th 2022.

This forum post is a companion to the OTA-23 Call For Testing

Please post any general observations you have while testing the current image in the RC channel, as compared to OTA-22, in this thread. The current release candidate (RC) is 2022-W24.

If you have any comments on any of the specific issues in the OTA-22 tracker, please post them in the issue thread so they are easier to track. OTA-23 tracker: https://github.com/orgs/ubports/projects/34

Please note that only critical and security fixes will be able to enter OTA-23 as this point, normal bug fixes and new features will need to wait for our next release. Please do not discuss normal bug fixes and new features here.

The OTA will now be released on Tuesday 28th June and not this Friday 24th as mentioned above. Thanks

@mrholiday can you make that screenshot bigger and please post it into the Telegram QA channel https://t.me/ubports_qa_team ? You seem to be the first one with such an issue so we should look into it.

Since the last RC update I have about twice as much battery consumption as on Stable. I have a Xiaomi Mi A2 and will (double-)post this issue in the device-section to encourage othe users to test, if thats ok -?
If you need further information, please ask.

@messayisto huh cannot say much about it, it must be device-specific. Can you please try to confirm this with other device owners, I dont own this thingie

The volla does not seem to consume more energy than usual. In fact, only positive to say in RC 54: all the scrolls in the web and smartphone pages seem much more fluid, no more crashes anywhere, in short the comfort of use is much better which is very important. With a new essential QtWebEngine (in test phase), in my opinion everything is fine to wait in good conditions until ubuntu 20.04.

I got the impression that 2022-W24 killed Bluetooth on my Op5t, which would be bad as I use it daily. But a cold reboot fixed it. All seems well!

                        Is currently using an Op5t
Also owns an Op1, a BQ E4.5 and an Xperia X, as well as a BQ tablet and a Pinetab2. Please, someone... make it stop.

@flohack After a few conversations on Telegram and here: The third time I tswitched to RC, there was finally no quick battery drain. So I apologize for the fuss I made - I was really a bit scared - and thank you for the support.
Nonetheless, I have no idea what it was - but who am I to complain.... I'm glad everything is working again.... helpful I was just not testing, sorry for that too.
