JingPad C1 battery issues

My JingPad seems to continue operating at some level after the shutdown. Example: Battery is charged to 90% and I shut the table down and put it away for the night. In the morning I touch the table, which is a bit warm to the touch and only charged to 10%.
I have tried several combinations of charging and shut down, and most of the time the battery loses its charge. Maybe 75% of the time.
Has anyone else had issues with the JingPad holding a charge? Could some process be running in the background? I rarely use this tablet. I would guess I have used it for about 200 hours since I received it in February 2022.

I have a lot of devices that will discharge the battery quickly, even when powered down. My main use ones, don't get powered down, I just charge them up when they warn me or get low. I have six UT devices on the go at the moment which I don't switch off.

Well, loosing 80% battery charge in one night when powered off doesn't seem good ou normal to me.I can leave my N5 powered off for month without loosing such an amount of charge.

If software is not running there is the possibility of a hardware fault in the phone such as a short circuit across the terminals of the battery. A broken wire or condensation come to mind. There is even the remote possibility of an internal fault in the battery. Can you remove the battery for testing?

Maybe there is a bug preventing the OS from powering off the device.
Can you boot to recovery or bootloader and power off from there? That would help determine if it's a hardware or software issue.

Thanks for the replies. I am leaning towards a software problem. Or it could very well just be the JingPad computer Godz. hahahaha
No, I cannot take the batter out for testing.
I will try using the suggestion of shutting down from recovery after I complete all other possible combinations. This takes time.
Last night I shut the tablet down using the power switch. The battery was at 51% and this morning I turned it on and the battery was 51%. But tomorrow.... who knows?

Update:
3 times I noted the battery charge in % and then I shut the tablet down by software in the drop-down menu in the task bar. After 2 hours I boot the tablet and there is no noticeable loss in battery %.
3 times I did the same thing except I shut down by using the power switch. No noticeable loss in battery %.
All 6 times the time from pressing the power on button was 3 seconds until I felt the buzz of booting up.
After I shut down the last time I waited 30 minutes and plugged in the factory charger and charged the tablet from 50% to 60% and then I unplugged the charger. The next morning the battery was dead.
I plugged in the charger and waited a minute and pushed the power on button and it took 10 seconds to feel the buzz.
I have a few more combinations to experiment with but this does take a bit of time.

@el_pinguino so what it looks like is that when you plug in the charger the device powers in to some state where it can't properly go to sleep in.

Scenerio 1:
When charging the JingPad during use (i.e. OS is running) and I disconnect the charging cable before shutdown there will be no problem.If I then reconnect the charging cable to the JingPad it will show the green charging animation.
If I then disconnect the charging cable something will keep running and discharge the battery.
If I reconnect the charger ( after disconnecting it once) nothing will happen visably. No charging animation.
Scenario 2:
If I connect the charging cable to the JingPad when not in use the JingPad will show the green charging animation.If I then disconnect the charging cable something will keep running and discharge the battery.

Generally, the time from pressing the power on button to the buzz signaling the bootup, is 3 seconds. If The JingPad is in this unknown discharging state the time to the buzz is 9 seconds.
So, charging my JingPad when the OS is not running leads to problems. I guess I'll just have to charge the JingPad during use and remember to disconnect the charger before shutting down.
