When will the Ubuntu Touch support Samsung A04s (SM-A047F/DSN)?
Is there any Linux distro which support this smartphone now?

Hi @alita
You can try to port following this guide.

I also moved the thread according to this rule:

It's not a 'when' question, because this is not a thing that will certainly happen. It will only happen if someone makes a port. That person will need to have the device in hands.

@moem I have too little tech knowledge to make the port.
Thank you for answer. So I can only throw the device into the trash. An unwanted gift without a receipt (so I can't resell it). I don't want things from Big Brother (Google).
Newer does not mean better.

Sorry to hear it. It's not something we can help you with. Maybe there is an OS out there that can be installed on it, I don't know... it's worth a search I'd say.
Best of luck! -
@alita One option might be Lineage OS, another is /e/OS. /e/OS supports some Samsung phones, but this one doesn't seem to be on the list yet: https://doc.e.foundation/devices
Both are Android based; Lineage is independent from Google, while /e/OS is actively anti Google (it uses Mozilla location services, feeds Google false information if you choose to set up your phone with a Google account, etc). I use the latter as my daily driver, and while Ubuntu Touch is more exciting, these are great alternatives for getting the convenience of Android without the surveillance of Google.

I don't know where do you live but in most countries, you can resell "like pristine" any good on sites like ebay or rakuten, without any receipt...
