Google play store
-
Hello,
How can I install Google play store on Waydroid? -
@ktatar156 You can take a look at the installation guide here:
https://forums.ubports.com/topic/5907/open-ubuntu-touch-to-all-android-applications/115
See the part mentioning:
"waydroid init -s GAPPS"
I guess you will need to remove WayDroid and reinstall it from the scratch.
Then replace
waydroid init
with:
waydroid init -s GAPPS
I didn't use Google Play Store on WayDroid so I can't ensure you that it will work....
-
The Aurora Store available to install in F-droid also gives access to the apps in the Google Play Store.

@ktatar156 Even Waydroid Helper allows you to install Waydroid with Google Apps: https://open-store.io/app/waydroidhelper.aaronhafer
That should make it easier than having to use command line.

Why do you need the Waydroid Helper App if you have to fetch Waydroid via Terminal
-
@dpitti You have to? One of the features of Waydroid Helper is that it will install Waydroid for you. Be it with GAPPS or not. So I don't think you have to use terminal at all.
Note I am not saying you can't or shouldn't. Use whatever you prefer. I've tried both out of curiosity and usually just go with terminal, but there is this option.
