Facebook live not working in browser

I tried to wach a facebook live broadcast and it told me that i couldn't open it in the browser and that i would need the facebook app. Can anybody fix this?

@giemme Im currently using Sailbook and facebook live does not work. Nor do I get notifications.

Getting fed up of having to scroll through the same posts each visit?
