Can you improve an app? And would you like a Pebble smartwatch?
-
The prize has been claimed and shipped! A Pebble Steel in good shape is currently winging its way through the international mail system and heading for @TheVancedGamer who is bringing RockWork to Focal.
(I like to imagine the watch flying though the air, using its wristband as wings and flapping as hard as it can.)

I'm happy to help test the Focal version when there's a click of it, if you wish!

That's hard for now because the Pebble doesn't yet stay connected to bluetooth on Focal. But this should be solvable once @TheVancedGamer gets his Pebble and can debug. As you see it's not just a prize for him, it's a prize for all of us.

Maybe so, however, even just having the app work so I can change from the default theme that it likes to after being disconnected for so long, would be nice, can't wait to see it working nicely, with notifications, and song skipping etc!

You can't do that yet because the Pebble won't properly connect to the phone yet. It won't stay connected for long enough to use RockWork at all.

Oh that is a speedy disconnect.

@PhoenixLandPirat I feel like i'm a bit late now, but indeed there is now a click to test!
Now I can dump that Android and use my FP4 with my Pebble -
Hi @TheVancedGamer ,
Many thanks for your efforts !!!!
Do you know when your work could be merged in an OTA ? I really want my four (yes, four..) Pebble Time Steel back !

Not sure what you are waiting for... I'm using my Pebbles with the new Rockwork every day!

@Moem
I want to be able ton connect my Pebbles again with Focal. I have used them for years with Xenial and switched to Focal last week. It is now impossible to have the bluetooth connexion stable enough to launch RockWork as you described in june.I thought that @TheVancedGamer had found a solution but it seems that I have read too fast.

That's exactly what I'm doing, so clearly it's possible! Where are you getting stuck?
-
@gwengui are you using rockwork from OpenStore on focal? I'm using it daily now and I have no issues with it.
Do keep in mind that the rockwork daemon actually connects to the watch, not the bluetooth stack. So you will have to launch rockwork first for the watch to be able to connect. -
