        @globetrotterdk about SMS, I don't know, you should receive an SMS on UBports, but not in Waidroid, did you have GSM activated ?
        About GPS, I'm not sure, but I think it doesn't work on Wayland, you must manually set your position.

          @saveurlinux Hi again. I don’t see a GSM setting.

            Sorry, but I think you mean Ubuntu Touch, not UBports. Right?

            Is currently using an Op5t
            Also owns an Op1, a BQ E4.5 and an Xperia X, as well as a BQ tablet and a Pinetab2. Please, someone... make it stop.

              OK, so I can now confirm that SMS is working in Ubuntu Touch, but there is a problem receiving a confirmation SMS via my parking app.

                  In general, GPS works under Waydroid. If it does not for you, then it is something device-specific.
                  This may also have something to do with Google Play Services...

                  I have the waydroid image without GAPPS and set up the microG stuff like described here, which works very well for me:

                  but there is a problem receiving a confirmation SMS via my parking app.

                  I don't think, that it is an issue of receiving, but more an issue of sending by the parking app.

                  Devices: BQ e4.5, Fairphone 2, Fairphone 3, Lenovo X605F, Pinephone, Moto Z2 Force, OnePlus5T

                    @Luksus Interesting. I have another phone that I can setup tomorrow, to see if this issue is device specific.

                      I already setup my other phone. Unfortunately, that didn’t work for app generated SMSs either. However, I again installed the GAPPS version of Waydroid, as I need to install a couple of apps that are only available on Google Play Store…

                        @globetrotterdk Did you tried Aurora Store https://aurorastore.org/ available from FDroid ?

                          @saveurlinux Thanks. Yes, I have tried that. If I am lucky, I get an error message...
