Well, today one of my Tabs refused to boot into Ubuntu after a deliberate battery drain (worth draining the battery too look after them once in a while).

      Wouldn't boot to fastboot.
      No boot to recovery.

      Hangs on Lenovo screen.

After many attempts, got it to fastboot and ran the installer. The installer wouldn't pick it up! (did the obvious of trying other cables, rebooting etc....)

Put it into EDL mode and its back on Android (and that took quite a few attempts to get it to EDL mode (without pin shorting).

Battery was at 100%. Cables work. Fastboot picked it up in terminal. Installer works (I know it does). Tablet works (it worked on UT and is now working on Android. Time is against me...

        Hi @MrT10001
What usb port do you have on your pc?
I had the same problem that have been mentioned by other users in here about the phone not updating instead it entered the recovery mode instead. I tried to change from devel to stable, after that the phone got stuck on google boot screen. I did a lot of thing to get the phone working, and a few stupid once too 🙄 . When I tried to reinstall the phone it was picked up by the installer but it couldn't reinstall UT. I could install android on it by running the flash-all script in the factory image. Then I remembered something about only using usb2 port on your pc when installing UT. The pc that I was using to install UT had only usb3 ports. So I picked up my old Lenovo laptop that only have usb2 ports. Now the installer worked without any hiccups.
