Redmi Note 9s: Stuck on “Rebooting to fastbootd” when installing Ubuntu touch
-
I'm using Redmi Note 9s, and trying to reinstall Ubuntu touch 20.02 on it. After I enter fastboot and begin to install for a while, the "Rebooting to fastbootd" part does not work and the phone keeps restarting over and over again. I tried to use both Windows 11 and Ubuntu to run the installer and have tried diffirent ports and cables, none of them work. Can someone help me?

@Hamakaze If I've understood correctly, you want to reinstall Ubuntu Touch? Or is it a new installation?
Do you have the right original firmware? To boot into Fastboot mode you turn off the device, then you keep pressing "Power" and "Vol -" until you get "Fastboot mode" on the screen.
Here's the installation tutorial for the Redmi Note 9S. It's important to check all the steps:

@stanwood I'm so sorry i didn't make myself clear. I have ubuntu touch installed on this phone and am now trying to reinstall it. Also I tried to install with ubports after going into fastboot and am getting the above. How do I proceed?

@Hamakaze No idea. It works on my side. Just put manually the device in Fastboot mode (Turn off, then hold Power and Vol-), plug the device to the computer and run the installer.
Maybe some experts would be able to help you further...

@Hamakaze Are you on the latest installer (0.10.0)?
