Gain more developers ( apps )
-
hello everyone,
Well, i'm engaged now at the local developer community to talk a bit about UT, and UT apps. Will do a small presentation beside from presenting projects like LuneOS, PostmarketOS, Plasma Mobile, Librem5...
How can i convice them to develop apps for UT, Plasma and Others ?
IMO they could be interested if most of their code base can be shared among OSes. Are there any app examples around that target cross mobile platform ? heard of kaidan https://github.com/KaidanIM/Kaidan .

I guess, apps can be cross mobile as long as we don't use low level stuffs ?
Waiting for a concrete example : http://blog.qt.io/blog/2017/06/14/mobile-app-development-qt-part-1-top-considerations-choosing-app-development-framework/

@lduboeuf nice initiative. You should ask in the Telegram Supergroup, there's a lot of more action there nowadays https://t.me/ubports

@advocatux thank you. well i prefer less volatile discussions but i will give a try, yesterday posted the question on UT App dev Telegram group and got some perspectives. I think they are good movements toward cross platform GUI toolkits (Suru, Kirigami, others ?) but don't used that much yet.

@lduboeuf yep, I like less volatile formats too and I think the mailing lists should be the main communication channels but nobody is using it.

Awesome! I think we need more initiatives like that.
