scrcpy mirrors Android devices (video and audio) connected via USB or over TCP/IP, and allows to control the device with the keyboard and the mouse of the computer.
Requirements:
USB debugging on your Android device needs to be enabled.
I tested it and it works very reliable on my Android phone. I currently do not have a Uborts phone at hand. Someone tried scrcpy it on on Mobian with the Pinephone:
A user had some trouble getting an acceptable resolution, but apart from that it worked quite well.
Does someone know if it works with Ubports, too?

@Peter-Gamma scrcpy is a Java tool, pretty sure that's not going to work for us. Plus, it revolves exclusively around Android frameworks which we also lack.

@TheVancedGamer Good to know. I am going from my Pinephone back to my Android phone and now to a Google Pixel 3a with Ubports. scrpy works well on Android, it the best desktop remote Android solution i have tested to this date. But for the Pinephone there is somethink like "ssh into the Pinephone" if I remember corrrecty...if scrcpy does not work.

@Peter-Gamma
UBports is the foundation that governs the operating system.
The operating system is Ubuntu Touch. -
@Keneda aah! So it's like the UBS foundations in Switzerland .

@Peter-Gamma if you have VNC client on your desktop (Remmina works great on Linux) then you can try the MirVNCServer app in the OpenStore. It mirrors the device display on your desktop computer and allows you to interact with it with your keyboard and mouse.
I never got is to work properly on the PinePhone back when I had one. But it works great on my Pixel 3a running Ubuntu Touch.

@arubislander Very helpful information, thanks. I still got my Pinephone with my Pinephone keyboard. You never know if someone adapts LibreOffice for the Pinephone screen in 10 years from now. But next to it I went back to an Android phone with Softmaker Office.
But then will buy also a Pixel 3a as a privacy phone with Ubuntu Touch, and also to get used to a Linux phone, since I am against Google products. Scrcpy is nice for my Android phone, but I am happy to have also a solution for the Pixel 3a.
