Hi,
sorry for the bad english ....I know the S10e is not supported now but why ? it's a good device ?
i see the last commit move to focal version
any person test ?
If yes what is the status ?Thx !

Requires a porter who is willing to port and maintain that port which requires a lot of time and commitment.
It may be a good device on Android, but Ubuntu Touch isn't Android, and getting it to work to a useful level is challenging and way above my brain grade!

K Keneda moved this topic from Support on

@yannesc As the above said, needs a willing person to do the effort and time. The previous porter of the S10 series has moved on from UT as far as I know. So it means someone needs to step up and be enthusiastic about it if we hope to get these devices get a working UT port. And I agree, the S10 series are a great lineup of devices. They are powerful and supports wired external display. My S10 is still probably the most powerful UT device I have.

@kugiigi on thé 20.04 ?
-
@yannesc No, a xenial version from 2 years ago. Maybe someone tried to port it to focal?
-
@kugiigi In the github the last commit allows focal migration but I wanted to know if someone had done it... Is the redmi note7 supported?
-
@yannesc Yes. I have three Redmi Note 7's, one still on Xenial and two on Focal. If I didn't need a banking app or an M$ app, it would be a daily driver for me!

@MrT10001 Great ! can get ota update ?
-
@yannesc Yes the ones on Focal get OTA updates.
