i like this community alot better than droidians ......1 of 2 things will eventually happen 1.)ill talk everyone into giving me what i want 2.) eventually ill compile it myself and get what i want anyways (compiling linux and editing it before hand is new to me so i must level up to do it) ....... i nag because i care

To be honest, our resources being what they are, this seems like the most likely and also best possible outcome.
Nagging means putting pressure on volunteers who are already giving all that they have to offer. -
@Moem true ....but no pressure implied all i ask is a long step back and thoughtful introspection ......if i can convince UT to open like 2 doors for me ....i could light a new application wave of fire bringing unpresented application features and functionalities ....did you see my thank you post in off topic? ......all i would need to do is change initial screen size for alot of the applications
-
@developerbayman ......i hate to play this card ....but im gonna ....while i totally do not know everything .....i have been a software dev for over 35 years ......in some things i really do know what im talking about ....and i promise everything i prattle on about is only for the benefit of this project

Much appreciated.
I tried to address some of the points you made in the dedicated post.
I'd be happy to continue the discussion and maybe a compromise can be made.
But changes at system level would require some careful thinking about them.And with your experience, you have probably the skills to make changes at system level without breaking confinement and introducing pip which is not the best idea IMHO.

@AppLee there is the possibility of running venv environment inside of a clickable ......but im not sure how much of that would work or not work
-
@developerbayman We have heard of this fabled solution, yes. But up to now have not seen a reproducible instance of it in action, unfortunately.
-
@arubislander ....i would like to apologize if i come off as annoying or rude ......im just passionate about creation and making things cool/fun to use ect .....ubuntu touch would be a beautiful environment to enact my art into ....and the barriers in front of me leaves me a little disappointed/crest fallen .....im going to change my tactics as i understand pestering you good people isnt helping .....it is what it is

i think i have a game plan but i have to do some studying ....right now my primary linux distro just nuked the bootloader on a system update ....so now im going to have to deal with that nightmare before i even get back to reinstalling clickable ......last 2 times i installed clickable it was automatically broken do to some library breakage at some point so it was unusable and i havent been able to track down the issue yet ....maybe by now it solved itself? idk
-
@AppLee thank you
-
@developerbayman
You're very welcome.My contributions are modest so if I can help others here I happily do so.
I never add any issue installing and using clickable.
The easiest for me lately was to justsnap install
it.I'm using Ubuntu and didn't check since I moved to 24.04 last week. If you use another distro your mileage may differ, but snaps are pretty good in my opinion (and experience).
May the force be with you (in order to fix your workstation)

@developerbayman Does it mean that I won't be able to install pip3?

@andreij-98 no not currently
