Help Needed - Stuck at "Waiting for Device" on Pixel 3a (Ubuntu Touch Installation)
I have a Google Pixel 3a, and I’m trying to install Ubuntu Touch on it. I’m using an Anker USB cable, but the process gets stuck at “Waiting for device...”, and ADB keeps scanning for devices for a very long time.Could you please help me troubleshoot this issue? Would switching to an Amazon Basics USB-C to USB-A 3.1 Gen 2 cable improve the installation process?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

@kuuga Can you post a screenshot of it?
Can you confirm if your device booted into fastboot? Maybe it didn't and if not, you can do it manually - usually by holding volume down + power button until it boots. -
@kuuga What OS are you using for your host PC in the installation?
If ADB cannot see the device, especially when the phone is in "fastboot" mode, with a windows host, this is probably because of missing google android drivers.
On a Linux host, the command line tools from google should just work as-is after extraction. (In my bumbling around I used both.)Windows google-android driver: https://developer.android.com/studio/run/win-usb
This guide below was extremely helpful for me, specifically the sections "Prerequisites" and "Unlocking Bootloader" since google's developer pages have so many dead 404 links. The other sections can be ignored if using UBPorts installer.

Don't forget to downgrade your Pixel3a to Android 9 before running UBPorts installer.
