Hi there, it's been awhile since I have played about with my Nexus 5 phones (I got 2) and I am having fun with them again. However, I had an idea that came to mind. Put it simply: is it possible to use these phones as a photo slide show under the Ubuntu Touch environment?

It's come to my attention that the Nexus 5 is no longer being supported by ubports, which is unfortunate because there was an app someone had made in the Openstore called 'Diaporama' which would've done the job perfectly; since the app had been built for Focal but not for older versions such as Xenial, which is where the development stopped for the devices I have.

I can take care of the backlit issue/prevent the devices from dimming out or having the screen turn itself off, it's just finding a suitable gallery app or any app that can produce a slide show for my image collections. However, I haven't had success finding one

So I was wondering if anyone has an ideas of this possibility?

Any advice given will be well appreciated

        Many Thanks
        CJoe

@Vlad-Nirky Well sure, that would be great. I wouldn't want to cause you so much trouble over this; even if it means helping those in the community get some usage out of the device.
