Suppose that I want to debug the issue - where should I start looking for? Where is the backend (camera driver + software) used by the camera app?

@ptrkrysik Do you use Waydroid? Did you share / link your Pictures or Videos folder with the container? In any case, can you check the permissions in those directories?

@arubislander I'm using waydroid. So do you think it might be an issue caused by waydroid?
My immediate reaction was "of course the phone wasn't running waydroid when it happened".
But currently I'm not that sure, as the only way to reliably reproduce the issue is to start waydroid and then start UBPorts camera app. After first video the camera stops working.

P.S. regarding sharing Pictures or Videos - I didn't setup sharing of those folders with waydroid. Pictures and Videos made on waydroid don't appear there.

@ptrkrysik I don't use waydroid myself. But there have been some permissions issues with other users who do use it, so that is why I asked.

If you're talking about the camera app crashing issues that I've been having for the last year... that can't be caused by Waydroid as @danfro has it too, and he's not using Waydroid.

Hey ! here videos capture is possible but without any sound

On two Pixel 3a devices I have access to, I'm unable to reproduce the issue without Waydroid (Waydroid is installed but disabled using sudo systemctl disable waydroid-container.service).

However, once Waydroid is started, the problem occurs after recording the first video. I don't have definitive proof that Waydroid is the cause in every case, but the correlation is strong enough that I attribute most of the video recording issues I've experienced to Waydroid running in the background.
