You have installed the correct version of Android before starting the install?
-
@MrT10001 I couldn't find the 12.5.9 so I used 12.5.6
and the guide said(to be sure all is ok)so thought the exact version wasn't a requirement

miui version: 12.5.6
On the device page only poco X3 is listed, i don't see poco x3 pro.
https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/
This device is different, maybe it can use UT...
The miui 12.5.6 is Android 11 and the poco X3 is on halium 10 so need Android 10.You should ask on the Miatol Telegram page if somebody has already used this device...

@Vlad-Nirky the guide I linked above is for Poco X3 Pro and I followed that

K Keneda moved this topic from Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC

@snailc it is always best to use the ROM the porter specified, some may work, but most won't.

@snailc
The 12.5.9 global MIUI is available at http://xmfirmwareupdater.com/miui/vayu/stable/V12.5.9.0.RJUMIXM/The fastboot error is probably because of system is a logical partition and you need to use fastbootD.
fastboot reboot fastboot fastboot flash system ubuntu.img -
@Eric-H Thank you for the MIUI 12.5.9 global link after installing this everything worked, what I was missing was that

@snailc
Hi !
Sorry dude, we don't have to flash system partition. I try to correct the tutorial.
And sorry for the response time.Not sure that 12.5.6 is the same as 12.5.9 (for UBT), we replace vendor, but if you have some thing that don't works, you could check to update it.

Hi !
X3 Pro is not on device page, because we don't have maintainer, maybe I will if UBT choose LVM and I could keep my other OS to.
The port is very good but need few check.I agree with you, people with Miatoll can help and we have a global X3 Pro Linux group : https://t.me/LinuxForPocoX3Pro
The tutorial page for X3 Pro : https://forums.ubports.com/topic/11334/poco-x3-pro-ubuntu-touch-tutorial-installation-guide-vayu-and-help-channel
