full python clickable app prototype
-
so my biggest issue is pip dependency and integration in the system able to retrieve these dependencies for basically all the pip packages i might have to rethink my approach to this
-
i need to learn more about clickable service mechanism ......the app launches a services than handles pip management with whatever hooking events to change the /usr/local/lib/python to /home/phablet/.local/share/<fullappname>/ ......whatcha all think?
-
a two way direction service?
-
@developerbayman said in full python clickable app prototype:
i need to learn more about clickable service mechanism
That's easy. At the moment, there is none.
-
@arubislander WHAT!!!??? ....how? ...like so many questions
-
ok the notification system? surly works on a service type base ....im sure the lingo is different but yeah
-
@developerbayman There are services on UT... there is just no streamlined or officially sanctioned mechanism yet to describe and bundle services as clicks. Different apps implement different solutions to this problem when they require it.
If the service only needs to be available when the main app is running, some apps launch the background service on startup and terminate it on shutdown. If the service needs to be running independently of the main app, then you could see the app deploying and hooking up systemd user service configurations on first run.

@arubislander nice ill dive more in the documentation when i get some time but thank you this is good to know

hey friends its been a minute ....in super good spirits ....been building a ton of app for ubuntu touch on the side as well as my own pylinux distro ...i have no life .....i even manage to develop a new meshtastic protocol still in development stage ....gonna get 2.0 mbps over a modded meshtastic network gonna create custom modems when i do im gonna release it open source ....the goal is free internet forever everywhere ....@#$% those guys and their endless subscriptions and censorship ...remember the 90's when the internet was like ...idk the wild west? and totally awesome ...yeah we are gonna do that again ...when i get to it im gonna need everyone's help ...................well anyways enough of all that im here because i think i have finally succeed in making python come to ubuntu touch in a meaningful way a little more testing and ill post it on the open store ..this allow me to use it as a framework for rust and other languages as well

@developerbayman interesting initiative. And you clearly put in a lot of work. I am eager to see what all it will be used for in the wild.
-
@arubislander oh im just getting started eventually im gonna bring idf-esp ide to ubuntu touch so not only will UT be all secure as a government phone as it already is but i wanna bring industrial applications to it as well as a plethora of programming tools
-
@arubislander i think iv also decided to use UT at the main mobile interface for all my esp32 related projects so alot of tools are in the works ....will be very much a industrial microcontroller programming tool when im done
