@pparent Min Browser also rejects me to my normal Ubuntu Touch folders. I don' t understad why...
By the way I've just made an update of Min browser, that corrects bug on inputing password, and allow to import/export files. Not sure if it will be enough to meet your needs, but you can always try.

@pparent Hello Piere,
I installed min browser again. My findings...
The screen keyboard is not activated
I not able to get my .cvs with my password loaded. It loops back to no passwords. When I try again the program cashes. I tryed this 3 times with te same result.Ernst-Jan

I really don't know how the OSK could have worked on the previous version and not this one. Well I guess you can test it again when you have reinstalled the system, because it is most probably not an application-side issue.
I not able to get my .cvs with my password loaded.
I'm not sure what you mean by that though. How do you load your csv passwords?
-
Ps: just a question when you are doing your tests with the On Screen Keyboard, you don't have a physical Usb/bluetooth keyboard plugged in right?
-
@pparent No, I have not.

@pparent Hi Piere,
In Nin Browser settings, password auto fill it askes me for a file. Sadly It does not load my .cvs file. Id did, however, in UWolf.
For now UWolf seems to have the best papers for me. For now I just let it start wih the most needed websites for on the go. At home I use a small BT keyboard.
-
Ok for now password saving does not work in Min browser because there is no system keyring. So for now you cannot import or save passwords.
-
@pparent Ok, for me that is a no go. I have a lot of passwords, all generated bij Firefox or chromium. It is really impossible to not have a passwordmanager that automatically, or via copy put them into a webside. Am I the only one making use of this form using passwords?

Whatever I try it keeps telling me to first back to stock Android version 11for my FP4
If you have another Android version installed on your FP4 it's needed to first downgrade to Android 11.
If you had previously done Android 11 -> UT, it's not necessary to install again Android 11. Just install again UT.
The important thing is to remember to NOT enable the check for wiping out user data - else you will regret not having done backups.
-
@gpatel-fr Hi, and thanks,
It's a long time ago I installed UT so I'm not shure. I went from E/OS to UT so I think it was tru Android 11.
That said I think it's best to take a safe route and start from scratch. Or is it possible to try without the risk of bricking the phone?
I also still lie to know if there is a way to stop daily updates and go back to stable backups only?
When is the new stable comming out? If this is in the near future waiting is also an option...
Another question; Is there a way to stop UT from going into sleep when in Uwolf. It's realy annoying when I'm reading an artickle or lokking at a YouTube video and the screen shuts down after witch I have to login again...

to switch channel the recommanded way is to use the installer and install the new channel over the existing install without checking 'wipe user data'. I have no idea on the risks of installing Android again except that as no one would do that for the sake of it, it's not a trodden path and I have no urge for experiences.

the way to switch channel is to use the installer. You can't switch channel safely from the phone UI.

I'm not an UT dev so I have no idea. I would like to have a new stable too because FP5 stable has a known bug that is fixed in daily (it tends reboots when switching wifi on/off)

try to setup the app behaviour in UT Tweaks.

Although I really hope it does not mean a bug for the keyboard for gtk/xWayland apps (uWolf, Signal UT, Min browser, Chromium for UT) might have sneaked in the daily channel, and thus possibly making its way to the next stable...

a new stable should be announced and testable before the official release giving you the opportunity to ask to not pull the trigger. It would be nice for people like you who develop apps and wanting to have also a stable daily driver for personal use to have some sort of double boot, one for stable and one for daily so you could give early warning - but one can't have everything every day
