Anyone else is having wrong Caller ID when receiving a cal?

this times, some phishing/adds are calling with the number of other peoples. i don't know how they can do it, but it is regular that peoples call me back while i never call them...

I's quite easy.
Long time ago it was thought as a feature for companies to show the front desk when a personal line is used.
So the people getting called would call back the front desk instead of the direct line of the caller.So basically you can appear to be anyone with the right tools.
It also allows to call with masked number...Edit: I found this that explains it (at a very high level)
