About to begin porting for the first time for Samsung Tab S6 Lite (Looking for advice)

Hey everyone! I am about to port Ubuntu touch for the first time to my Samsung Tab S6 Lite, and was wondering if anyone more experienced than me has any advice for a beginner to this before I begin?

porting UT to a new device may be a task for a UT beginner but not for a Linux beginner. If you don't have compiled many Linux kernels and have no clue about Android design and development you will have a mountain to climb.
