click on notification bubble
-
The click on notification bubble doesn't work - is it a bug or a feature?

- I mean was it never intended to work?
- or was it not programmed yet to work?
- or it was working and now it's broken?
This is something that I find it would be very helpful - to be able to open the app imediately when I click on the bubble.
Right now I have to wait for the bubble to dissapear, I open to top scroll-down menu and I click on the notification to open the specific app: eg. Dekko, Greenline.

my impression is that:
-
the notification system allows it, Lomiri gives this capability
-
most (all ?) apps don't use the notification api directly but via the push system (known also as 'postal') a layer that is easier to use and more doumented but don't allow for that.
so the reply to your question is more 1, possibly a bit of 2 and no to 3.

@gpatel-fr So you mean that it is not a UT issue but an app issue? - because in this case I need to address the issue on each app...
-
@mihael that's the behavior by design.
Notification bubbles turns the screen on (you can swipe them away).
Notification in the Notifications indicator are clickable, they should open the app or addition options (like the quick answer from SMS app). The only notification bubble that doesn't follow that rule (and others) is the one from Dialer

if you mean by 'address the issue' actually create an issue for each of the apps you want changed as you like, I'd say with a high degree of probability that your issues will be closed or ignored.
If you meab 'create a MR', then it could be discussed but likely rejected for the same reason.
Notifications are meant to be temporary. If they become an UI, the notifications will almost inevitably be longer, or even become permanent. So they will stack. If can become a hot mess and even hinder the phone notifications for incoming calls.
This could be adressed by making the feature optional but you'll see that it implies some maintenance work for the project owner, even if the MR is fully complete and functional.
