Nord N10 lito - what is this, and is it supported?
-
@MrT10001 Ah, I didn't know it'd re-lock the bootloader. I'll check that out and try again.
-
@MrT10001 That seemed to be the issue, thanks! Not sure why the installer interpreted the phone as a different device, but all was OK once I unlocked again.
Additionally, for anyone else who might stumble upon this, I had a random Android emulator listed in ADB, which caused the installer to get confused and raise an error. This turned out to be a Native Instruments background service, for some reason. Following https://stackoverflow.com/a/33810103, I was able to remove it and continue the installation.

@NoodleCollie, do you have any information as to whether VoLTE is working after you got done installing ubuntu-touch on your 1+n10-5g?
I'm asking because the official info on the this topic seems a liitle ambiguous...
-
@NoodleCollie Hello! how did you manage to downgrade? I bought a oneplus nord n10 5g fo UT, and it's a "lito" model for Tmobile. I unlocked the bootloader and tried to downgrade with MSM from the UT device page. It gives me an error !
Did you face something like this?
-
@linl please verify in fastboot what model you have and which OS package you downloaded from the UT devices page.
-
@rocket2nfinity verified that. Oneplus Nord N10 5G. The OS version is 11.0.15 BE88CB, device name: lito, model:BE2028.
The OS version took from here https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/device/billie/release/noble/
See, the device name in the url - billie.
I don't think there is any hardwear difference between lito and billie. It's rather a problem inside the installed ROM, which was developed for a specific carrier or vendor. My case is TMobile phone. -
@linl First, is it boot loader unlocked? If not, where did you buy it? If eBay, please see the N10 section of the forum. We've had trouble with oneplus refusing to provide a token for Metro/T-Mobile N10s. (Edit - I see you say it's boot loader unlocked)
The ROMs provided on the devices page are the correct ROM, but, there is a procedure you need to apply to convert the BE2028 to the global ROM. See the N10 forum. It requires swapping files from a BE2028 ROM with the same files in the global ROM and repackaging, then flashing the patched ROM via EDL
-
@linl Also, how did you get it boot loader unlocked? - Requesting a token from OnePlus? We have several people who cannot get their Metro/T-mobile model unlocked and we are still trying to find a work around and what works.
-
If you have the BE2028 model, you may need to update the firmware file first. I found this and was able to load it into mine but I was never able to unlock the bootloader as OnePlus wouldn't provide me an unlock token. If you do flash that via the MSM tool, make sure to unlock your bootloader again.

I know that different variants of the N100 can be unlocked by flashing its Global ROM, which is rad. Is this also confirmed on the N10 5G? I think I saw posts where someone tried this but it still didn't allow unlocked bootloader on the N10 5G (and had to request unlock token from OnePlus). I hope that is the case (N10 flash Global ROM allows user to unlock bootloader) because OnePlus is really getting on my nerves by not granting the unlock tokens like they used to. errrggghhh!
