Hi all. Announcing that this app is now in Beta. My goal is to release to the store by end of next week, fixing the maximum amount of bugs possible until there.
Please, help me catch remaining bugs and misbehavior by downloading and using the latest version bellow, reporting here anything you'll find. Once in the store, will be slow to fix bugs, so now its the time to get the app in a good shape.
Latest release: https://git.brennoflavio.com.br/brennoflavio/greenline/releases/tag/v1.0.0-rc2
Translate this app: https://hosted.weblate.org/projects/ubports/greenline/Changelog:

- Prepare pipeline for final release
- Make chat list page refresh incremental, more performant, don't lose position when receiving messages
- Many small performance enhancements across the board, app should feel faster
- Avatars now use the lomiri shape, rendering with less resources
- Fix a bug where receiving messages made the avatar to stop showing
- Speed up first historical sync, up to 10x faster on my tests
- Faster parsing of events, by decoupling chats from chat metadata like avatars and descriptions

@brenno.almeida
Hello.
I give it a try.
I haven't been able to connect with QR Code (not shown in the app) (but well with phone number).
UT 24.04-2.x daily from 08/06/2026 as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has been excluded from updates. -
@Vlad-Nirky Can you send logs using the LogViewer app (or equivalent) from the service greenline.service? Should tell why the daemon could not generate a new qr code for you.

This is working amazing and I have been using 1.00 (rc1) for a few days now. Thank you!
Just a quick question: why did you hide the self chat?
-
Also, when I click on a notification, it doesn't open that specific chat, it just opens the app.

@mihael Please test on rc2, there were many changes so its possible that your bug is fixed.
The reason to disable self chat is because is because there's a whole set of features (replies, sending messages, etc) that is not fully tested on the self chat case, so for now managing the self chat is a unsupported feature. Maybe in the future if there's enough demand for it I can evaluate enabling it again.
