@valpackett we missed the chance in the last cycle, and unfortunately we'll have to wait two more major releases to get to 6.9

@surendrajat i don't actually know, maybe gst has some helpers for this sort of thumbnail generation, but i haven't come across any. As I understand, this would need to be some sort of precomputed index over a video to be fast
