Is TB-X306F available in my region?
-
Hi all!
If I understand correctly (as per https://forums.ubports.com/topic/9673/lenovo-tab-m10-hd-wifi-x306f/26) on the model TB-X306F with 4G/64GB is viable for Ubuntu Touch.
| TB-X306X | TB-X306F 2/32GB | no | no 4/64GB | no | yes
I have been on the lookout for a Lenovo Tab M10 HD TB-X306F 4G/64GB, however all the tablets that are available (second-hand) are either 2/32GB or - and most often - 4/64GB X306X models. This leads me to the following question: is X306F a U.S. only release? I am in the north-western Europe region.
P.S. Also: might it be an idea to put the Model number in the title of the devices page on the Ubuntu Touch site as well? https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/device/amar-row-wifi/
Might save some not-so-patient-readers a tablet, hehe. -
@holly_x The TB-X306F is available in Northern Europe with the 4Gb/64Gb model. the 2Gb/32Gb model seems more popular and is more likely to be found on 2nd hand selling sites. Be prepared to pay more for the 4Gb/64Gb model unless it is for parts/not working. They go for upwards of £60 to £120 UK, so as a used device are not cheap in comparison to other similar tablet types.

@holly_x Hi Holly,
I do not own the device, but you can find it on eBay (France, Germany and Netherlands):
https://www.ebay.fr/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=m10+x306f+4gb&_sacat=0
https://www.ebay.de/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=m10+x306f+4gb&_sacat=0
https://www.ebay.nl/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=m10+x306f+4gb&_sacat=0If you want to save some money, you could also repair a broken device (but if the repair fails, you could also burn money :D):

device with broken display (maybe ask the seller about storage and ram, because the description is unclear)If you want to spent more money for a more powerful device and if you can wait two or three months, you could also wait for the Volla Tablet (12GB RAM, 256GB internal storage and Ubuntu Touch supported from the start): https://volla.online/de/shop/volla-tablet/
