Volla Phone 22 - Bricked
-
Hello
Any help getting my Volla Phone 22 up and running would be appreciated:
1.) The phone does not respond to pressing power button and volume up, so can't get into Fastboot/recovery mode etc.
Total black screen, no back light, if plug into charger or computer just led light.
1.) The Volla Phone 22 came with Volla OS preinstalled.
2.) I flashed with the UBports installer to install Ubuntu Touch, and everything went Ok.
3.) Later I changed my mind and attempted to go back to Volla OS.
This time the installation failed and my computer froze, MacBook M1(2020) Silicon.4.) Now I have nothing, black screen, no recovery, no Fastboot.
5.) I have tried leaving the phone plugged into computer, tried power off and removing battery, when I connect to computer and type in terminal lsusb the response I get is: Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0bda:0129 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTS5129 Card Reader Controller
Please help!!

I managed to rescue my bricked Volla Phone with some help from the linux community. I used the MTKClient to reflash the phone so that flash boot would work on the phone and then this allowed me to reflash the phone with UBports Tool. I now have a Volla Phone with Ubuntu Touch.

@Matt7896
Did you try to contact volla support?
From what you wrote I guess your phone need a reinstall using mediatek factory tool, and volla is the best choice to do so. -

@Matt7896 Good to see your device alive again with UT OS.

@Matt7896 I'm in the same situation and it would have been better and nice if you shared how to do the procedure on reflashing the bricked Volla Phone 22. I just can't get my head around it, so a guide would be more than welcome.
