@Antares86 It is an ambiguous question. What device are you trying to install UT on? Did it fail? What have you tried if it did fail to install?

To install UT you need fastboot and ADB installed, search for Platform Tools . You need the UT installer. You need the USB drivers for your device. You need the correct Android ROM, as stipulated by the porter which you have to flash to your device or UT won't install or work.

@Antares86 You have to do the research, but from the devices page:

"Please double-check that your device is running the latest available stock Android 10 firmware"

The correct Android ROM can be found here and download the fastboot version.

To install Ubuntu Touch, THE DEVICES BOOTLOADER HAS TO BE UNLOCKED. IF IT IS UNLOCKED< DO NOT RELOCK IT as it will brick the device in most cases.

You require the Mi Unlock tool which is for Windows only.

You must have a working SIM in the device and a Mi account set up.

You need to enable developer options on the device. In developer options you must enable OEM unlock and USB debugging and then below the OEM unlocking button, press the Unlock status line and follow the instructions.

Once you have followed the instructions, you must have ADB and fastboot installed on your PC. In the ADB and Fastboot folder open a terminal (command line or powershell window), attach your device and reboot to fastboot mode.

Connect to the PC and open up the Mi unlock tool and log into the Mi account you logged into on the device. The device should be detected on line one, press unlock and wait 168 hours to unlock i.e. on week, do not attempt again on that device or the clock will be reset.

Once the bootloader is unlocked, unzip the downloaded fastboot Android ROM. In the folder you will see a a bat file called flash_all.bat. Put your phone into fastboot mode and open a terminal window in the ROM folder where the flash_all.bat is. In the terminal the command is:
            ./flash_all.bat
(note you must include the ./ for it to work)

Leave the device and PC alone, it takes about 5 minutes, let it do its thing.

Once done, the device will reboot and you will have to set up Android again, enable developer options and USB debugging.

Run the UT installer and attach the device to the PC, accept the USB debugging prompt and follow the installer instructions. Again it can take a while to install, so leave the device alone, until you get the UT install screen.

            Enjoy UT.:beaming_face_with_smiling_eyes:

@Antares86 Take your time and read what is on the screen to download the correct files. If you get stuck we will do our best to help.
