Hi, hopefully this is the best category for this.
I'm sometimes failing to receive an SMS, or other times I'll get the first 153 characters of a message, then maybe 15-50 characters from the end of a previous message from the same sender.
Most texts come through just fine, but having askedthe senders, I know I'm occasionally missing one entirely.

Does this make any sense to anyone? I don't even know which logs to look at. It's suddenly making me wonder if I can keep using this as a daily driver.

Running 20.04 stable on Oneplus N10, installed proper android version before installing UT.
My carrier is Freedom Mobile in Canada. In case applicable, the carrier has limited coverage, but has free roaming for when outside the network. I'm outside the network, thus roaming, fairly regularily, but haven't yet figured out whether that's related.
Thanks for any help or suggestions

@wally Hi, I suffer the same on my Android phone, so it is most likely a carrier issue. I think carriers want to drop SMS and MMS as people (the vast majority of youngsters) use private messaging apps over data.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7.... And more...
          I have too many devices...

@MrT10001 Thanks for the input. That makes sense,
especially now that Apple is playing along with RCS. I imagine the proportion of messages sent by SMS/MMS protocols is dropping dramatically.
Perhaps I'll try a different carrier.
