TB-X606FA Installation possible?
-
Hello,
Unfortunately I bought the model TB-X606FA, its called Lenovo Tab M10 FHD Plus. It has Android 10 running on it.
Is it possible to install UT on this model?Best regards!

@messayisto Sadly no. There's a port but it's stuck with xenial and never reached a good state. It is not maintained anymore. Technically, the HD and FHD versions are mostly the same hardware-wise but they still need separate ports. It might have been easier to make though but still needs someone willing to do it. And it's also stuck with Android 10 for some reason while the HD version goes up to Android 11 which is the base of the UT port.

If someone could please, please please update the device page (https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/device/amar-row-wifi/) calling out that it only applies to the X306F model and not any other, that would be appreciated. The page only mentions the specific model number in one, very easy to overlook place. Mentioning it more prominently at the top should help prevent others from making the same mistake I did.
Now to figure out what to do with this $70 paperweight. -
@jeffstoner To be fair, it said HD and not FHD but to be fair again, Lenovo's naming is very confusing
I agree that the model code should be in the title though. It's probably better to make it a feature of the site instead of relying per device page configuration. You can file a feature request if you want.
