Hello everyone, I'm a new member of UBForum. Currently, I'm working on rewriting/restructuring the build files of 'halium-generic-adaptation-build-tools', including the "build.sh" script (located in the same directory as the deviceinfo folder).
Because I feel that it's no longer suitable — or to put it simply, 'outdated'. Also, the build scripts don't run smoothly on some distros other than Debian/Ubuntu/Arch(?). Currently, I have a rewritten script called new_prepare_fake_ota.sh. It's still under heavy development, and its current version is beta0.1.
        new_prepare_fake_ota.txt
The file above is the internal source of the script I mentioned earlier. Of course, I have no intention of uploading a virus or anything malicious! I just want to improve things a bit, so I’d really appreciate any feedback from you all — so that I, or even the community as a whole (if possible), can help make Ubuntu Touch more accessible to more users and more devices!

Oh! also, add device topic "Redmi Note 11 Global" please šŸ™‚

I'm not a native English speaker, but I'll do my best.

Updated: Now this script is almost unnecessary on Ubuntu/Debian or some Ubuntu/Debian based distros, it can still run the old script fine. But I still do this project so that other Linux distro users can still build without any problems.
