VOLTE status
-
Hello all,
I am wanting to put Ubuntu touch on a N10 to be my daily driver, but I was curious as to what the status was on VOLTE for this port. I have heard some conflicting info on the subject, so I was hoping somebody here could confirm or deny compatibility. I am in the US with Verizon, switching carriers isn't practical right now, and my understanding is that VOLTE support in my situation would be required for the phone to reliably make calls. Thanks! -

@vverve Volte is working for you? Where are you located? I am in Australia/New Zealand right now and I do not have an option to enable it. It is a pain since 3G is not functional here... Maybe I need to reinstall?

@madabu09 Canada ,well , 50km from US border...

@vverve Just for clarification, do you have a VoLTE icon on the status bar during phone calls? I hadn't yet heard anything about VoLTE working on any Oneplus devices. Canada still has 3G, so it could be switching to that. When I make/receive a call my status bar switches to 3G

@wally good question , could not be , indeed , the icon does not show precision about lte , shows L!
-
sorry , tried to edit and resize png...did not showed that in preview.. weird, but it is what it is..
-
@wally Does shows L when calling , here..not LTE .

@vverve Merci! I appreciate the report.
It still leaves me uncertain about what this means. When I have a call going on, the status bar always changes to 3G. Are you sure this doesn't happen?
I thought I'd seen a separate icon in a screenshot on the forum that said VoLTE on the top status bar, but maybe that changed.
It would be a big deal if VoLTE was working on Oneplus Nord N10!
