Notes app on OnePlusOne mobile phone (OS ubuntu)
-
Please be patient as I'm a 74 year-old man who's not very tech-savvy. Recently my son gave me a OnePlusOne mobile phone which I love. Its OS is uBuntu. However, when I use its Notes app and create a reminder I'm buzzed at the correct reminder time but only receive a 3-second visual reminder on my screen!!! This, of course, means that if I'm away from my phone or if it's on Silent, I don't get the reminder!!!
To solve this problem I went into my Settings - the complete System Settings page icons are as follows;
Flight mode, Rotation Lock, NETWORK, Wi-Fi, Mobile, Bluetooth, Hotspot, VPN, PERSONAL, Background, Sound, Language & Text, Accounts, Notifications, SYSTEM, Battery, Mouse & Touchpad, Brightness & Display, Phone, Time & Date, Security & Privacy, Updates, About, Reset.
The lock letters are sub-headings (don't take a tap) apart from VPN.
Just to re-cap, my problem is when I get a reminder, using the NOTES app, I get a buzz and a visual reminder - BUT the visual reminder only lasts about 3 seconds so, if I'm away from my phone or it's on Silent, I won't get the reminder.
Surely when I get a reminder I should get a buzz and a permanent visual reminder (which I would have to delete)?
I've tapped on Notifications under System Settings and can confirm that all four listed boxes are ticked under the Notes heading within Notifications - Sounds, Vibrations, Notification Bubbles and Notification List.
Please, please help me solve this very simple, basic problem.

Hi, that's how reminders should work for sure. Unfortunately I don't know if it's an easy fix because AFAIK there's no Notes app maintainer currently.
I'll forward your suggestion to those I think (maybe) can help to solve the problem.
