@domubpkm really glade you like it.
By the way have you had a chance to try it in desktop mode, with an external browser?
Merezhyvo is fully convergent one. -

got it.
I use a cheap miracast dongle for connection to a regular PC monitor. It works well enough, not the best, but really well enough. -

Hi @naz.r
Small virtual keyboard malfunction maybe :

Problem displaying accented characters on the Azerti keyboard 'a'. On the other hand, the choices of the different accented characters do not disappear from the display if a choice is not made.

Merezhyvo version 0.4.4 has been released.
Here are the main changes:
- Third-party cookies control
New global setting to block or allow third-party cookies.
You can now add per-site exceptions when a site breaks without them (for example: some logins, widgets, or embedded content).
These exceptions are visible both on the internal “Manage security exceptions” page and in the shield popover for the current site.
- New “Site data” page
New internal page where you can inspect and clear cookies and stored data per site.
There is also a “Clear all data” button if you want a full reset.
Some entries in this list may be from domains you did not visit directly (for example CDNs, analytics, embedded content); that’s normal, and now it’s easier to see and clean them.
- “Privacy & Security – How this works”
New internal help page that explains, in simple terms, how HTTPS, certificates, cookies, WebRTC and the internal tools behave in Merezhyvo.
The goal is that you don’t need to be a security expert to understand what these options do.
- Better touch support
Fixed drag/rotation gestures on some interactive sites that use custom canvas / SVG / D3 handling – for example earth.nullschool.net now works correctly on Ubuntu Touch.
- UI & translations
The shield popover now also reflects non-default privacy/security settings (like cookie exceptions).
Added Dutch, Spanish and Italian translations.
Improved layout, added Close buttons on internal security pages, and fixed some issues with accent letters on the on-screen keyboard.
As always, feedback is very welcome – especially if you notice any regressions with the new privacy tools or interactive sites.

I really like this browser! Is there any chance you could also add a Norwegian keyboard? I really like how you've implemeted a different keyboard, it is refreshing to try something different. Thank you for sharing your work with us.

Hi @djac
UT 20.04 seems to be the issue. The browser is supposed to run on UT 24.04+
Probably I have to add this into the description.
Thank you -
okay. thank you for this precision.

Hi @naz.r I think you should add the Github clickable link in 'About' so that it works internally with Merezhyvo Browser since the link in OpenStore points to a morph currently not working with Github. For usefulness, the browser must have access to the Gallery or the smartphone's photo folders to attach screenshots. Is this the case (not tested) ?
-
@domubpkm said in Merezhyvo browser:
the browser must have access to the Gallery
totally agree, but it is in TODO yet. On UT that's a bit tricky part
The browser has access only to internal sandbox for now, which is
~/.local/share/merezhyvo.naz.r/There are two folders inside
~/.local/share/merezhyvo.naz.r/mDocuments you can use to upload anything into opened pages
~/.local/share/merezhyvo.naz.r/mDownloads you can use for downloadsyou have access to these folders with the file manager so you can copy and past files into the folders and take files from there.
For easier access you can run floowing commands in your Termilal:
ln -s ~/.local/share/merezhyvo.naz.r/mDownloads ~/Downloads
ln -s ~/.local/share/merezhyvo.naz.r/mDocuments ~/Documentsthen the folders will appear just inside your regular Documents and Downloads, it is going to be more convenient to use them.

@naz.R In this case, bugs with screenshots are still reported on the forum while waiting for this to be fixed. Just seen your update

Very Very difficult to try to attach a file in github. Tiny windows to choose a folder. Can't make bigger. Moreover, Download : permission denied ? Should be possible ?
.Noticed too that the cursor where the character should be located when typing a message is invisible
At the bottom of the screen, in passwords, the message that appears (for example 'passwords locked') is much too small. Can't make it bigger. I've tried what possible.

that's a bug. It should show another file picker.
I'll fix it.@domubpkm said in Merezhyvo browser:

right, that's the platform limitation I was talking about in my previous message. The platform doesn't allow the browser to have access out of its own sandbox. And that's a bit tricky to avoid it. So for now Merezhyvo has access only to ~/.local/share/merezhyvo.naz.r/
Check my message above, please.@domubpkm said in Merezhyvo browser:

generally if you have to upload any files on any page, you have to place them into one of those two folders. By saying "place them" I mean copy from the place where they are and past into ~/.local/share/merezhyvo.naz.r/mDocuments (or mDownloads)
Then when you tap on a "choose file" button on a page you have to see the file picker like this

and you should be able to choose a file here.
But, for some reason, as you just found, the file-picker doesn't work on GitHub page. So, I have to investigate and fix it.
And until the fix is released, it looks like you can't upload files on GitHub, unfortunately.
