Meshcore support or app (lora mesh communication)?
-
Is there any development by anyone for Meshcore (mesh lora communication) for UBports?
The browsers (Morph and uWolf) I tested cannot connect to bluetooth, so I can't use the webapp (https://app.meshcore.nz/)
Waydroid does not give me access to bluetooth either, so that is not an option either.
That leaves me with hope someone is considering a native Meshcore app for UBports, hence the question.

@Voorstad I am working on a Meshtastic app. Not Meshcore. Will be opening it soon for alpha testing.

Thanks for your reply! Sorry to hear it is Meshtastic
. The Lora community seem to move from Meshtastic to Meshcore for multiple reasons (reliability / reach). Hopefully native Meshcore support will become available as wel some day... -
@Voorstad maybe. If MeshCore had a Rust library, it would be fairly easy (famous last words) to integrate into the app I am making for Meshtastic. But it appears there's only a C++ library, and I'm not touching that with a 100 foot pole. As for MeshCore vs Meshtastic, I'm aware there seems to be some back and forth about it on the LoRa bands in the Netherlands (where I am currently based...). But for now, the app will only be supporting Meshtastic, unfortunately!

@Voorstad so truly im developing a new meshtastic protocol called “meshnet” it utilizes exoandabke lane bonding like lornawan but meshtastic bonded ideally up to 12 lanes allowing up to 2 mbps while range still effects speed will have greater distance .....its a thing but also eventually i too will be making a UT app while it will be meshnet ...meshnet is also backwards compatible with regular meshtastic so this will be included as well ....i have two dev boards coming this month then im gonna buy alot of radios

And is there any relevance or compatibility with the Meshcore protocol?
-
@Voorstad just so you know, if you have not seen it already, Indra is on the OpenStore. And no, it does not do MeshCore, at least not yet. I have a vague plan of adding at some point this year. I found a Rust MeshCore library.

@Voorstad i plan on three in one actually im developing a custom firmware will feature meshnet but also have compatibility with meshtastic and meshcore protocols as well ...the goal when im done in a brand new esp32 s3 /p4 firmware thats is the most advanced and feature complete ....however im hitting alot of bumps in the road ....and money! ...each prototype modem estimated cost will be around $520 ....once i bang out a prototype i wanna raise money to mass produce sbc's for it hopefully bring the cost down to $100 per modem .......i currently work at burger king ...so this is a financial nightmare moving at a snails pace ..unfortunately ...but yeah will be apps within the firmware
