Hi,
Weeks ago, I purchased a Pixel 3A XL. Easy bootloader unlock and U-Touch install (24.04.1).
Great functionality on everything EXCEPT NO VOICE CALLS (USA, requires VoLTE).
Really liked External Wireless Display (Miracast) mode. Works better than DisplayLink, but not as good (clean image wired) as Samsung DeX. (but I don't want to use a Samsung phone)
Liking UT, I spent hours on research, and discovered OnePlus Nord N10 IS currently supported on latest daily update version of UT, and FUNCTIONAL on VoLTE.
So I bought one via Ebay.
Contacted Oneplus online, and they told me "Ebay NOT authorized OnePlus reseller & they will NOT send bootloader unlock code".
Right now I am incredibly angry at OnePlus.
SO, I have a Pixel 4XL (happily running LOS23.2 unofficial) & functional VoLTE ( & WiFi calling).
It would be GREAT if UT supported that.
I have purchased a total of 6 Pixels on Ebay over the years, zero problem bootloader unlock, all running LOS (except 3A XL = UT).
Also, I would seriously consider buying any newer Pixel XL or Pro model, IF UT supported it with VoLTE & WiFi Calling (REQUIRED).
Can anyone share any info on UBPorts plans to support any newer Pixel phones on UT, in USA ? -
@oldbutndy UBports as such has no plans, because we (including you!) are a community, a loosely connected group of volunteers. Whether a certain device gets ported depends on there being someone who
- has the skills
- has the time
- has the wish
- has the device.
If there is no such person around, then no port is going to happen. On the other hand, it's not impossible for the Pixel 3a XL to get a new maintainer and VoLTE support.
You might have luck getting help with your Oneplus Nord N10. Maybe one of the old hands here has a trick up their sleeve. No guarantees, but who knows.
As is forum policy, your topic will now be moved to the Offtopic Area. The device areas are for supported devices. Thank you for understanding.

@Moem
I am trying to use UT on a phone in USA to make voice calls, where VoLTE is required.
Please tell me where on UBPorts forums this question might be answered.
I will research buying that device (as long as NOT Oneplus !, they get no more of my time or money).
Since my question was specifically asking if anyone was working on any UT solutions SPECIFICALLY for GOOGLE devices, I thought I had originally selected the correct forum (GOOGLE - any device).
I mentioned my Oneplus failure [their BLOCKAGE], and Pixel 3A VoLTE failures, only to clarify WHY I am asking if anyone is working on newer Google devices. -
@Moem
Question: How many hours / weeks / months does it take average developer to get UT working on a new phone ?
For example, Pixel 4XL ?
Exactly what level of skills are required ? -

https://docs.ubports.com/en/latest/portingLast week, I had skimmed through those pages on porting UT.
It seems a bit similar to build of Linux Mint I did years ago, to unlock clock on AMD Radeon GPU card, to enable 4K LCD TV drive.
It took me a couple hours maybe, and my old PC about 12 hours.
I had guidance from developer in Germany, who had knowledge of AMD GPU driver.
That effort was standard generic build of Linux, with 1 or 2 tiny changes in 1 driver.
UT build for device with no previous builds - would seem to be NOT generic, and not standard, & I assume many changes required to customize for the device.
I hoped that someone who knew how many developer hours it might take for a new UT build for a new device could estimate their initial time spent, and answer. -

Thank you.
A bit depressing.
Reading through those posts, it still looks like Nord N10 5G is best / only chance for VoLTE success in USA, and I already bought one because others had success, and failed. (AFTER buying Pixel 3A XL, and loading UT OK, but VoLTE FAIL.) -

That may still happen. We're a bunch of volunteers, and most of us have full lives and don't read the forums every day.
