Update 24.04 too large

After installing 24.04 via ubports installer the file Recovery/Advanced/View logs/cache/ubuntu_updater.log ends:

Applying update: device-4399...298.tar.xz
tar: write error: No space left on device

Is that a known problem? Is there any workaround?

@muskist As far as I have tried and am aware, Noble (24.04.x) does not work on this tablet yet. I have kept all mine on Xenial and Focal after trying to install Noble.

It's a bit confusing that the ubports installer suggests to install 24.04.

Did you happen to check ubuntu_updater.log?

@muskist I have bought this up with the installer developers as there is some devices where the upgrade to Noble fails - OP6/6T, Lenovo Tab M10 TB-X605F/L, Xiaomi Mi A2 to name three... I know the OP6 and 6T is being worked on. I guess (and I am assuming, dangerous, don't assume) they are awaiting porters to bring the devices on as Focal worked, Noble should work.
