      Hello,
The photographer app appears to be working BUT it does not save the photos files in the folder \Pictures\Screenshots neither \Pictures\camera.ubports.

Also if i go to the app Gallery and choose Photos, nothing appear there. Also if i scroll left, appears a grey boards mentioning "No multimedia available".
However, if i record a movie, it saves! Only the photos does not.

What is the trick to fix this? Thank you.

I don't know what is the trick since I never had this problem, and as far as I know you are the first person to report it on this forum.
When you press the button, does the screen turn briefly black and is there a sound ? if you scroll the screeb to the left to the photo roll features, do you see results ?

rethinking about your problems in flashing UT to your phone, I wonder if you could have hardware problems, or possibly either flashing with a flaky USB cable, or with an unsufficiently charged battery.

            Hello @gpatel-fr ,

When you press the button, does the screen turn briefly black: Yes
and is there a sound: yes
if you scroll the screeb to the left to the photo roll features, do you see results: Only for videos BUT it first ends the app and if i go back to the app of Gallery, only the videos appear.

USB cable, if that was the case, when installing, i guess it decompress the files. If they were corrupted, it will not work.
battery: 100% charged and the usb cable was keeping that way.
hardware problems: do not think so.

@gpatel-fr now i have a new problem: i activate the "rotate disable" and deactivated. Not the screen is always in landscape. Only after i rebooted, it went to portrait. And know the feature appears to be working fine.

yet what you described was exactly this happening: installing did go to the finish without reporting an error, but wifi was not working; and after retrying, wifi and cellular happened to work.

                  @gpatel-fr flow:

                  • installed UT over android 15 (my mistake)
                  • reflash the android 13 from Fairphone 5
                  • reinstall UT (2 or 3 retries)
                  • wifi and BT and mobile operator now works

Just made the "search for updated && made the update".
                  Problems remains.

The point is that it is not normal to retry an installation. If your hardware is good, it should work the first time or never.

@arubislander do you know how to use the cursor keys in the terminal? These command keys do not appear in the virtual keyboard. Thank you.

                            cursor keys:

option 1: use the hamburger menu and select scr, then scroll to the right you'll find arrows
option 2: touch the screen, press and move gently your finger right/left

@Kadafi OK, so it doesn't seem to be a case of wrong permissions for the Picture folder itself. Could you also do a:

                              ls -lh ~/Pictures/

and in e again post the results?

Is it worth considering starting again?

Installing the correct Fairphone Andriod version listed on the ubuntu-touch website and following the install procedures for 24.04 stable?

I have none of the issue you mentioned in your multiple threads with my fp5.
The only outstanding issue is the fingerprint reader for me at the moment on stable.

@sixwheeledbeast since i stop using windows, i tend not to follow the path of "reformat and reinstall". Also, i had already an updated and that should also had overwrite the original install. Also, on the first time, i did reinstall 3 times (no cable issues and no hardware issues).
