Ubuntu Touch 24.04-2.0 call for testing

I tried a last time with "2G/3G/4G" network type as I know my provider provides 4G network, the spinner ran a longer time again and then it succeed
hmm, I have no real knowledge on this stuff, the only link that seemed vaguely relevant I found in a quick search was this and it says that MMS are handled in a similar way in 2G/3G/4G and are only different for 5G (NR).
At least it seems to have a relationship to your problem of losing the network when sending a MMS while connected to 5G. While protocols are standardized, small details can matter to create problems with some providers.

I’ve edited the halium.yaml file for the Nothing Phone 1 to incorporate the notch and corner correction settings.
It works well (Maciej’s tool for graphically determining the settings is brilliant).
When I restart Lomiri, the layout is perfect, but when I switch from portrait to landscape, I lose the adjustments (including when I switch back to portrait).
I have to restart Lomiri for it to work properly again. -

This issue is described in the blog post "known issues" related with this RC, see first post.

@Keneda
Oh, I haven't visited the link.
However, for NP1, the return to portrait mode leaves the phone with the time half hidden.
So it's not that it don't work in landscape mode, it's going in landscape mode breaks the attended behaviour even in portrait mode.

@peat_psuwit
Could you give a link for known and for reporting issues on this RC please ? -
@Vlad-Nirky
Yes, @luksus and an other member noted this first page, see from :
https://forums.ubports.com/post/96809Seems only the clock is "broken".

I have seen already another post about things being messed up in landscape and staying messed up when back to portrait - something I definitely don't see on my FP5, where the landscape mode is not perfect but when switching back to portrait all is well.
I think I see the difference now: your phone has no notch for the back camera. It's probably the root cause. The MR has been tested for a phone like the FP5, not like your phone.

@gpatel-fr
It has a notch for back camera but on the left of the screen.
It could be port depending, of course. -
ah yes I see it now. By luck in this position it does not block the indicators.
Theoretically the software should elegantly adapt to all the quirks of the hardware. Practically it's not as easy as one could think
