I think that I removed all the computer and network specific info... lol...
Anyway, I can't get it to recognize my tablet. Now, it gives me a list of possible solutions to use if I want to do it manually. However, I don't know if any of them will work for a 'Sero 7'.

So, my question is, does anyone have any ideas how I can get the installer to detect my tablet or which of the manual selections might be the least harmful... 🙂
Thanks in advance for any constructive help.

            Thanks...
            Reading it now... 🙂
This Halium project could take a minute to read up on and get started. But, at least, it's not starting from scratch... lol...
            Thanks again...

@alan_g Just learned something else about it...
Ubuntu Touch has not yet been ported to the Sero 7 Pro. I imagine it doesn't use the same trees as AOSP or CyanogenMod so it might be difficult.

EDIT: I'm downloading the Ubuntu Touch source code now. I'll see what I can do.
EDIT 2: So, it looks as if Ubuntu Touch might use CyanogenMod trees. If it truly does that makes life easier, much much easier.
EDIT 3: Looks like the Sero meets the minimum requirements for the high end Ubuntu Touch that can dock with a keyboard and mouse.

I found it on xda-developers (whom I do not trust at all, generally)... https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2536116&p=53324923
I just need to figure out where more of this info is at???

It might be a lost cause anyway... because, I can't figure out how to get this thing into bootloader mode... I've held down the pwr and vol up key at the same time... all it does is either turn on or turn off... no menu at all...
So, I'm thinking that kernel v 3.0.8+ might not have a bootloader menu??? I don't know???

Okay... I'm trying the Halium path... I'm stuck... I'm at this instruction...
First, you’ll want to find the repositories for your device on LineageOS’s GitHub organization. You can do this by typing your device’s codename into the search box. You’ll want the device repository, android_device_[manufacturer]_[device]. Take down this name, as you’ll need it later.

I went to LineageOS GitHub and looked for my devices codename in the searchbox... figured it would be something like sero 7, sero7, e270bsa, but nooooooo... it just keeps telling me, no results found...

@danix803 once you've decided to make a port for your device, you can post specific questions/doubts in https://forums.ubports.com/category/33/porting

There's also a Halium group in Telegram (@halium).

You can document your advances using the instructions here https://github.com/Halium/projectmanagement/issues

@danix803 I've found these instructions, I don't have a Sero 7, so read them before try it (to see if those steps make sense to you).

Hold power and volume down while its powered off for 10 seconds ...if the hisense sign comes up keep holding it down until you see the screen flash and its off again and release and press it again and repeat it until you see the green android guy and then power + vol up...for 3-5 seconds until menu comes up

                          Good luck!
