N5 microphone problems

In my N5 with ota 7 my microphone gives randomly problems: sometimes when i call somebody the other can't hear me, just white noise. After a reboot it works somtimes again.
Sometimes it works for some minutes, then it gives white noise for some seconds and works again during the same call.

Software or hardware?

Has anybody else seen this behavour?

@htc_tattoo hi, does it happens only with phone calls? Have you tried the mic with other app? (For example "Recorder")

Hey, I had a similar problem. Then I have flashed for comparison LineageOS 14.1 and I still had this problem. So it looks for me like a hardware problem ... I have switched to another Nexus 5 for now

@advocatux: I tried with audio recorder, same behavour: first it worked, then after turning the screen off and on again i still could see the wave moving to my voice, but it didn't record.
Reboot didn't help, recording for a longer time made it suddenly work again. The recorded sound sounds like microphone in storm and suddenly it works normal.
Could it be a conflict with other apps? eg. linphone?

@htc_tattoo i think ive read about this before. also I was the victim of this behavior myself.
quick and dirty workaround: mute and unmute. this seems to fix the problem for the moment .

Yes, I had the same issuee too, I remember that I had to change the hardware.

Ok, seems to be broken then...I changed a lot in my phone, hardware seems to be on its end..
we don't have much alternatives...what about the meizu mx 4? Is it worthy to change from a N5 to this phone?
