Keyboard hidden when unlocking device to "Messaging" app.

Issue: Keyboard remains hidden from view when unlocking device to "Messaging" app. Any combination of tapping on the messages display panel, or the text box will not activate the keyboard.
The only way to bring the keyboard up is to either back out to the previous screen (messages list), or to bring notification panel down/up.

@advocatux Thank you for bringing it to my attention. I do believe the issue may be related, and I will likely add my part to the github comment chain.
