The Dekko2 Hackathon has now taken place and a new version is currently being tested. This will be made available when that process is completed.
So what exactly was done.
Oxide has been replaced by qtwebengine https://gitlab.com/dekkoproject/dekko/issues/124
Then the following bugs were also fixed:
- special characters in non-UTF8 mails (https://gitlab.com/dekkoproject/dekko/issues/89)
- copy and paste context menu with Suru Dark (https://gitlab.com/dekkoproject/dekko/issues/158)
- app picker isn't closed after attachment is shared (https://gitlab.com/dekkoproject/dekko/issues/86)
- search activity indicator too big (https://gitlab.com/dekkoproject/dekko/issues/143)
- load images for individual mails (https://gitlab.com/dekkan/dekko/issues/18)
A very big Thank You indeed to all those who attended for their time and effort in making this happen.

Good to hear! I have just downloaded and am using pop3 settings but the email does not show I just get the sender details and no content. Do you know if this have been fixed? If not can you help?

Sorry to say, but i don't think we gonna fix that soon... Maybe fixing this issue https://gitlab.com/dekkoproject/dekko/issues/147 also fixes your issue...
Theres no way for you to use IMAP? -
Do we have an eta for when these changes might make it to the store? I see the last update was in June.

Have you tried Tutanota.com. There's a webapp in the openstore for it.

Hi everybody! Since we found an issue regarding when to load (or not to load) external content, the release will not happen this week anymore. I hope we can fix this and ship it somewhen the next week. Thanks to @stefwe for discovering that and thanks in advance for fixing it.

Before extending the list of bugs a question: Is this a well known situation ? : the current Dekko crashes from time to time when I open a message to read or when I return to the list of folders ? If so, what do you think about that : related to Dekko itself or some kind of "phone memory management"? Seen on BQ E5 HD but maybe elsewhere. -
@domubpkm It happens to me as well on Nexus 5 in OTA-10 stable channel.

@domubpkm Dekko does crash from time to time on my UT devices. Probably partly memory and partly dekko's a bit unstable.

@hummlbach Quickly noticed, without having to reload the messages, that they are now always displayed without ''hieroglyphic characters'' and this is the good news for Francophones!
