I have installed Ubuntu touch today but I straight away came up with a passcode to unlock the screen? I can't not get into the phone please help !!!

@matt333 Not sure what that would be at all. You will get asked if you want to setup one during first time setup if I remember correctly but a random one no idea.
You can try rerunning the installer and choose the wipe option which should fixit. This will remove everything from your device though.
Edit I know this might be a stupid question and I guess you have checked but it isa screen lock pin not a sim card pin that is showing up and it is booting into Ubuntu Touch -
