      Hi
I have an old icloud email account which gets used now and again for various things , i have tried to add it to Dekko but can't get it to work
All the password etc is correct but it won't authenticate
could it be an issue with the smtp or similar ?

      any ideas ??

      thanks

@zx81 Please make a ticket here: https://gitlab.com/dekkoproject/dekko/issues and Dan will handle it with you πŸ™‚

Dekko is not a core App (right now), so it is not in our repos and trackers.

This is a bug in icloud. To get it to work you have to disable Dekko's use of the ID imap extension.

In ~/.config/*/dekko.dekkoproject.conf find the section for your icloud account and change the imap.extension.blacklist=QVariant() to imap.extension.blacklist=ID and then restart Dekko

Please let’s get this added as a core app. It is the only good viable option we have for emails (as far as I know). I really like it, but there are a few issues that really need to be sorted out.

I'm not sure how making it a core app is going to help? But this is off topic for this thread πŸ™‚

My thought behind it being a core app was that it would be supported and developed. I agree it is of typical though.

@Phil-UK Dekko never stopped being developed or supported. Just the old code base was deprecated.
