Stuck screen after installation on Oneplus One
-
Hi Everyone,
I'm posting here to hopefully get some additional help with an installation issue. I have documented much of the problem on the github (https://github.com/ubports/ubports-installer/issues/889). The summary of the issue is that after I followed the manual installation steps, I get a "OPO powered by Ubuntu supported by ubports" screen after rebooting and it just hangs there. Has anyone ran into this before or have any thoughts about how to remedy this?
System Info
Windows 10
UBPorts installer 0.2.7 beta
Oneplus One phone (A0001)
Android version 6.0.1 -
@aclifton314 Please try this version of the installer it has been adjusted for OPO isuues https://github.com/ubports/ubports-installer/releases/tag/0.3.2-beta but is still a bit rough round the edges. Also you might need 15 sec adb version from XDA developers as your on Windows https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979

I have the same issue on a Oneplus One. I'm stuck on "OPO powered by Ubuntu supported by ubports".
But since it is stuck there, did I just brick the phone? ADB no longer finds the device and since it doesn't boot fully there is no other option available.
Ubuntu Linux
Oneplus One Phone (previously running Cyanogen Mod)
ubports-installer.0.2.7-beta.exeAlso when running Cyanogen Mod, there's no option to press the Volume and Power. You have to activate the special options on the Power Menu and the option for bootloader is there.

@rob Bit rushed this morning but try this version of the installer https://github.com/ubports/ubports-installer/releases/tag/0.3.2-beta if that fails and you want a quicker answer post here also https://t.me/WelcomePlus it's our install group

Since it's stuck on that screen though and ADB doesn't recognize it anymore, is it too late to do anything? I can't make it do anything else. I can't go to bootloader and it will not fully start.

@rob No the phone will be ok. As I said try rerunning the e0.3.2 installer and follow the instructions on screen. Pick the device manually if the installer does not. Before that you could try putting the device into recovery hold power button and volume down button and maybe clear the device cache under android actions then factory reset.

Thank you for the new instruction! That was it!
Power + Volume DOWNall other instructions referred to Power + Volume Up.

@rob Good. The rest should be straight forward now the 0.3.2 installer is geared towards OPO install issues.

@Lakotaubp installed! thank you!

@rob Well done. Enjoy.

Hello. I have followed these instructions but I get stuck at "Fastboot is scanning for devices". I get the message "connection to device lost". It seems that the installer does not recognize the phone, which is why I get stuck. My phone is a Oneplus 1 (bacon) and I am running UBports installer 0.4.18 beta, dowloaded from snap, on Linux Mint 19.3. Any help would be warmly welcome, as my phone is a brick at the moment.

I got that too, so I used a different cable and tried again and then it ran all the way through.
