PeerTube v2 released today

With numerous new features described in this blog post from Framasoft: https://framablog.org/2019/11/12/peertube-has-worked-twice-as-hard-to-free-your-videos-from-youtube/

@libremax
I couldn't quite decide whether live streaming was available, yet. My guess though is: not quite. That moment can't come too soon though: I'd much rather the Q&A be broadcast on there!(People will, no doubt, be aware of Google's new T&Cs.)

@3arn0wl The new video player need to be the default before live streaming can become possible (if implemented). So may be for next major release v3.0.
I agree it would be great if Q&A sessions and all UBports videos could run on an UBports peertube instance: https://forums.ubports.com/topic/1073/peertube-for-ubports

Ah! Thanks for the clarification, @libremax.
Perhaps UBports could get started on setting things up ready... as you say, there are a number of videos already of presentations made about UT.

@3arn0wl In the link given by @libremax, there is a chapter about the new video player.
It's stated there that live streaming won't have been possible without a new video player.
Hence I understand that live streaming won't be possible until the new video player is widely spread and probably even later.And I agree this would be nice to have live news from UBPorts using a free alternative to youtube
[Edit] AAfter posting I realize answer from @libremax has been made :flushed_face: :face_with_hand_over_mouth:
