      Dear community,

I am using Ubuntu Touch version 16.04 (OTA-11) on my MEIZU mx. With USSD-code ##3646633## I can't enter in Engineering Mode. Is it a bug? In this mode you can check, change, setup your phone software and hardware settings.

      Thanks for your answers

        Hello everyone,

in the first question the asterisks * # * # 3646633 # * # * are missing. The secret code is described in more detail here:
        www.hardreset.info
That should also work with the MEIZU mx4. Does anyone know?

        Thank you for your answers

          Hi @Duke
It seems very android related to me. I'm not sure this "secret code" has something universal...

While USSD GSM codes are universal: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unstructured_Supplementary_Service_Data

these seem to just use a similar syntax but are not actually transmitted over the GSM network.

Thus I agree that this probably can't work on UT unless specifically implemented.

Fairphone 5 (Not yet installed UT on it though)
