I'm going to try something for my Nexus 5. Since the only major problem for me with UT is the bluetooth when in the car, I'm going to try a hardware solution.

      I ordered this:
TaoTronics Bluetooth 5.0 Transmitter and Receiver, 2-in-1 Wireless 3.5mm Adapter (aptX Low Latency, 2 Devices Simultaneously, For TV/Home Sound System/Car/Nintendo Switch)

      https://amzn.to/39cpYZ2

I'll let you know if it works. In theory, I'll just leave it in the car at all times.

I am using bluetooth with different UT devices now since some years. I really love it! At the beginning I had some problems with bigger bluetooth speakers. Since I always start the bluetooth speaker AFTER the UT device is working and bluetooth is ON - I never had problems again. And I do not have to connect something - everything works from alone.

        Have fun.

Bluetooth will get hopefully a major upgrade this year. Basically we lack proper support for carkits, and we got a lot of bugs for audio devices and headsets inside. Unfortunately its a very complex thing, it goes from lowlevel kernel drivers into all highlevel userspace. So it touches the whole stack.

When we have fixed that, a lot of BT stuff will hopefully work better.

Ah really!? Actually I never had problems. Interesting what is all not working. But would be nice if I do not have to restart bluetooth speakers to connect.

Unfortunately, this device doesn't work with the car kit either. So it's probably using the same Linux drivers. LOL
